Unlike anything heard before, unlike anything created since: experience Beethoven’s monumental final symphony, a masterpiece for the ages which culminates in the exhilarating, transcendent “Ode to Joy.” The concert begins with lavish and romantic music from Wagner’s great opera, including the famous “Tristan chord” that rocked the musical world.

Join conductors and special guests for a free, fun, and lively discussion about the music before each Philharmonics Series concert. Talks start one hour before the concert and end with ample time for you to refresh before the concert begins. Talks are held on the orchestra level of the Eastman Theatre.
